Overview
This summer, step into the world of science with Vitality Biosciences 2025, a week-long, hands-on program designed for middle school students (incoming 6-8th graders) passionate about biology, chemistry, and scientific discovery.
Over the course of 5 days, participants will engage in interactive biology and chemistry lectures, where they will learn essential scientific concepts. Students will also receive laboratory equipment training, becoming familiar with tools like microscopes and pipettes, and will be taught crucial safety procedures to work confidently in the lab. Instructors are high school students with experience in research and in the lab.
In addition to classroom learning, the program includes exciting field studies, where students will apply their knowledge by conducting experiments and exploring local ecosystems. This unique combination of lectures, lab work, and real-world exploration will inspire curiosity, boost confidence, and offer a deeper understanding of science.

10:00 AM - 3:00 PM daily
Located in a garage in the Fremont Irvington area
Enrolling Middle Schoolers (incoming 6-8th graders)
The schedule is as follows:
8/4/25: Introduction to Science & Research Methods and Lab Safety & Equipment Lesson
8/5/25: Cell Biology, Polymerase Chain Reaction, & Gel Electrophoresis Lesson
8/6/25: Chemistry Introduction (atom structure, charges, & the Bohr model) and Acids & Bases Lesson
8/7/25: Photosynthesis & Cellular Respiration Lesson
8/8/25: Review Activities & Program Conclusion
Safety:
This program is held in a Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) lab space and led by trained high school students. All activities are designed with safety as a first priority, and students will receive instruction in proper lab procedures before handling any equipment or materials and will be supervised at all times. There will also be adults present daily to oversee this.
Enrollment
Cost of Attendance Per Student: $200.00
Please note that this fee covers the entire 5 days and remains the same, regardless if a student misses any days.
Liability Waiver Link - Please print, sign, and attach it to your enrollment Google Form.
Once we have received both your signed waiver and tuition payment, you will receive a confirmation email from us with further details about the program.
