On January 3rd, after several weeks of planning by the Initiatives Committee, Vitality Biosciences traveled to San Francisco for a team bonding event.

After a quick car ride, we spent several hours at Grace Cathedral. During our self-guided tour, we learned more about the cathedral's history, social justice work, and art. The beautiful interior — including the organ, pulpit, and World Tree of Hope — provided the perfect backdrop for group pictures.

Our next stop was Union Square, where we saw cranes in the process of dismantling the Christmas Tree. From there, our group split up. Some of us opted to walk to Chinatown, where we stopped for snacks on our way to the Dragon Gate. Other members took the time to go shopping. We rendezvoused later at the Cheesecake Factory for lunch.

At the end of the day, we headed back to the lab with our respective carpools. It was a fun day out, but we always go back to work!
